Bertrand Dubedout
Bertrand Dubedout wurde 1958 in Bayonne geboren, wo er auch zur Schule ging und seine musikalische Grundausbildung erhielt. Nach dem Abitur absolvierte er ein Musikstudium an der Universität von Pau (bei Guy Maneveau und Marie-Françoise Lacaze), wechselte dann nach Paris ans Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (Elektroakustische Komposition und Klangforschung bei Pierre Schaeffer und Guy Reibel; Kompositionspreis 1981) und besuchte parallel dazu Vorlesungen am Centre d’Études Polyphoniques und an der Université de Paris VIII. Heute ist er Professor für Elektroakustische Komposition am Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Toulouse. 1988 gründete er das Ensemble Pythagore. Er ist auch künstlerischer Leiter des Kollektivs éOle und des Festivals Novelum.
Seit 1981 hat er verschiedene staatliche Kompositionsaufträge erhalten, darunter von Groupe de Recherches Musicales (GRM), Radio France, CIRM, GMEM, GRAME. Er ist Gast auf vielen Festivals im In- und Ausland, in Frankreich u. a. Présences (Paris, Radio France), Aujourd’hui Musiques (Perpignan), Agora (IRCAM, Paris), Solistes aux Serres d’Auteuil (Paris), Déodat de Séverac (Toulouse), Les 38èmes Rugissants (Grenoble), MANCA (Nizza), Les Musiques (Marseille), Musiques en Scène (Lyon) sowie im Ausland: Realm...
